This program introduces middle school students to the many possibilities bikes and cycling offer to enrich their lives. Through a series of lectures, discussion and guest speakers, Bike Club at School offers a fun and engaging survey of the history of the bicycle, bikes in popular culture, bike usage in countries around the world, and the positive impact of bikes on health, community and the environment. Students also learn bicycle safety and receive mechanical training to perform basic bicycle maintenance.
